Riding the subway every day is part of my NYC life. One day I started to notice what seemed like faces imprinted on the subway cars and doors and started Illustrating them as a way to document the feelings and sensations they caused me. Those images left an indelible impression on me. Somehow, in all their anger and accidental beatitude, they resonated deeply, as if the energy flow of the different shapes and backgrounds, constantly and almost visibly collided inside the crowded carriages. For me, those faces are a very clear representation of the energy and souls that took rides over time in that somehow haunted environment. I believe they transmit the essence of the city and connect with people on a subliminal level, thereby bringing emotional memories back to the viewer's life. Here's is one of them to share with you.   14. Do you remember that movie from the 80s, "Moving". Dana Carvey plays a guy with like 8 personalities that Richard Prior hires to drive his car across country. Of course he doesn't know the guy has 8 personalities, but the viewer does. Hilarious...

  22. Its very original and i like that you went with something that meant something to you and was part of a personal experience. I dont know what to make of it though. It just looks kinda out there for a shoe design.Although i will say maybe because i havent ridden on the subway is why i dont get it.
